Two of the country s top drugmakers, Ranbaxy Labs and Lupin have been sued by the US state Louisiana s attorney general in a US district court for allegedly overcharging the state insurance programme, Medicaid, with full intent while supplying prescription drugs. The names of these firms figure along side 16 other pharma firms (that includes Abbott, Watson Pharma, Forest Labs Inc, Baxter International) named in the lawsuit filed by attorney general James Buddy Caldwell who claims that these drug makers knowingly, willfully, want only and/or intentionally provided false inflated pricing information related to their drugs to various drug industry reporting services. ...
