State-run United India Insurance Company has been ordered by a district consumer forum to compensate a woman with over Rs 28,000 for rejecting her claim on the cost of her husband's treatment against a valid mediclaim policy. The forum also asked the insurance firm's nodal agency M/s Family Health Plan Ltd to ensure the payment of treatment cost and compensation to the woman.
